
COVID-19 Protocols
These are the COVID-19 Protocols of The Overtime Theater and will evolve as the COVID-19 situation evolves. The threat levels below are based on the City of San Antonio threat assessment levels. View Risk Level
As of March 1, 2022, the Overtime encourages masks for patrons.
City Threat Levels
Threat Level: Low, Mild, Moderate and Severe
Our Committment to Our Patrons
- We will tape off seats in the space to Institute socially distanced seating.
- We will ask the audience to wear masks during the show.
- We will take steps to promote air flow through the theater during and after the shows.
- We will limit “open” concessions – no popcorn or wine poured from a common bottle. We will continue to sell beer and soda and individually packaged snacks (BYOB is still allowed).
- We will spray the seats and space down with disinfectants after each performance.
Our Rehearsal Procedures
- 100% masking during rehearsals and workshops. Our goal is to be able to perform without masks.
- We prefer that all our volunteers be fully vaccinated/ boosted. We will place priority on vaccination status when selecting casts.
- We will spray the space down with disinfectants after rehearsals/ workshops.
- If a performer tests positive for COVID, they are released from rehearsal and they can’t return to the space until they test negative for COVID.
Threat Level: Critical
Our Committment to Our Patrons
If the Board of Directors considers the situation critical (based on the number of positive tests we are aware of), we will consider a full shut down.
Our Rehearsal Procedures

- The director will be asked to implement socially distanced blocking If recommended by local officials, we will fully shut down.
