Dashiell Hammett and the Midnight Caller by Mark Leonard
Directed by multiple ATAC award winner John Boyd
From the author of the ATAC Award Wining Original play, Jackson Square, comes a 1940s detective noir / historical fiction about the man who wrote the screenplays for “The Maltese Falcon” and “The Thin Man,” as well as numerous “hard-boiled” detective novels. The story is a memory play in which real people and imagined characters come to life to solve a murder that hasn’t happened yet…only the audience knows that the man about to be murdered is Dashiell Hammett himself.
